about the Wooster Friends

Wooster Friends of the Library is a community-driven project dedicated to supporting the local library and promoting literacy. Our organization is committed to providing valuable membership services, up-to-date news, volunteer opportunities, book sale information, and accepting donations to enhance the library experience for everyone. We take pride in our dedicated board members who work tirelessly to ensure the success and growth of our initiatives. Our story is woven with a passion for literature and a strong desire to make a difference in our community.

How we support the Wayne County library
  • Sponsor quality educational exhibits and programs

  • Sponsor and assist at special public events 

  • Organize book sales to keep library collections updated and to raise funds

  • Fund library programs and purchases

  • Recognize and celebrate staff during National Library Week

  • Advocate in the community for library needs

  • Hold fundraising events staffed by Friends volunteers to generate money for the library
