“Sometimes the best therapy begins with a wet nose and ends with a wagging tail.”

Join us on Thursday, October 23, for the annual fall meeting and an entertaining presentation,“Therapy Dogs and More.”

The program begins after a brief meeting of the Friends  at 7 p.m. in the Wayne County Public Library conference room.

Brenda Ziegler, the Area Coordinator of the club Caring Therapy Canines, will lead off the program explaining the many benefits of pets and pet therapy. With dogs in tow, members of the organization will demonstrate training and testing of pets.

Ziegler wants to emphasize the difference between service dogs and therapy dogs and the proper behavior around dogs to prevent bites. In addition to a question-and-answer period, there will be some time to watch dogs doing tricks. Finally, the program will conclude with a free raffle.

Everyone is welcome to attend. We look forward to spending time with all of our Friends!
